The contracting of private investigative services is subject to legal regulation in Spain and has to comply with the developmental norms and prevailing regulations of contracting and execution of the same.

Before beginning, the applicant should justify the legitimacy foreseen in Spanish Law 23/92 of Private Security and register him or herself in the Registry.
